Being in the wedding industry for the past decade, lotsa people asked me why I am not attached, I always say that I have never found "the" one. The same goes for our shop, or rather the lack of it...I had never found the right one...the criterias are shorter than what I had for my partner in life (!), but it goes something like this...
1) Must be near public transport especially MRTs!
2) Must be near a food place.
3) Must have free parking.
4) Must be near people...we don't want to be holed up.
5) Landlord must be nice and kind.
6) Must be charming, eclectic but just a little naughty and unexpected.
7) Must have trees...lots of trees...
8) Rental must be reasonable so that we do have to jack up our price.
9) The right size-not too big and not too small
10) Everything just falls in place.
Well, right before I went on my safari trip, I found the place! I came, I saw, I took one day to decide and I placed the deposit the next day. It took just one day to decide what took 10 years to mull over : )
